School Lunches

Here at St. Peter's we understand how important it is for children to eat a healthy and balanced meal during the day.  Evidence shows that eating healthy foods has a positive impact on a child's ability to learn, concentrate and improves their overall behaviour.  

Our hot school lunches are provide by Chartwells Catering Service.  A school dinner from the exciting menu costs just £2.30 per day and includes a hot meal with a choice of salad or vegetable side dishes, a delicious desert or fruit and a drink (water or milk). School meals are made using fresh produce, sourced locally where possible and can be paid for on a weekly or a daily basis.   A copy of the latest  menu can be viewed below.

All pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal as part of the Government's Universal Free School Meals initiative.

For those children who chose to bring a packed lunch we encourage parents to include healthy sandwiches, snacks and drinks (not fizzy) and support the school in promoting healthy life choices.

Children in Year 1 and above are welcome to bring in a named water bottles to provide refreshment throughout the day.

Toast - 25p

Milk - 20p

Note: all under fives receive free milk.
